2009 China Top 500 Enterprises

2009 China Top 500 Enterprises in Hangzhou, Zhejiang announced today. 500 of the total operating revenues reached 26 trillion yuan, increasing 19.7% over the previous year; tax total of 1.91 trillion yuan, accounting for 35.2% of total tax revenue.

     By the China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneurs Association, Zhejiang Province People’s Government, co-host of the 2009 People’s Government of Hangzhou, 500 Chinese enterprises issued cum-China World Business Summit, the China Enterprise Confederation and China Entrepreneurs Association, issued a 2009 Top 500 Chinese enterprises, China’s top 500 manufacturing and service industry in China Top 500 list and their analysis.

     This year, China’s top 500 enterprises from the analysis of the report can be seen the face of financial crisis, China’s large enterprises and enterprise groups tenacious struggle, the difficulties, is still made gratifying achievements. Continuously enhance the overall strength of the 500 strong enterprises of the total operating revenues reached 26 trillion yuan, increasing 19.7% over the previous year; finalists billions of dollars mark for the first time exceeded the threshold, increase of 13.21% over the previous year. Fortune 500 companies in the dominant position in the national economy outstanding taxes total 1.91 trillion yuan, accounting for 35.2% of total tax revenue; employment increased by 1.286 million people, an increase of 5.2%. Fortune 500 companies with foreign compared to the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises increased by 500, 2009 U.S. Fortune 500 companies short-listed 13 less than the previous year, while Chinese companies in the world top 500 companies short-listed a record number of 34.

     Compared with 2008, 2009 short-listed 500 companies are still mostly from the eastern region, but the percentage decrease in the proportion of the Northeast region has decreased, the proportion of the central and western regions has increased. Specifically, there were 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of the enterprises to enter the 2009 top 500 Chinese enterprises, and only in Tibet, Ningxia, there is no short-listed companies. Which the eastern region has 348 enterprises, eight less than last year, accounting for 69.6%; the central region with 65 companies, six more than last year, accounting for 13%; the western region of 61 companies, four more than last year , accounting for 12.2%; the Northeast region, 26 companies, a decrease of 2, accounting for 5.2%.

     It is understood that active private economy in Hangzhou, selected this year, 500 Chinese enterprises reached 21, second only to Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin municipalities, three among the nation’s fourth.
